ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 23.12.2024, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for issuance of legal heirship certificate on account of demise of his mother. 2.Heard Mr.D.Daniel, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.R.Neelagandan, learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2. 3.It is seen from records that pursuant to the application submitted by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent has issued a communication to the petitioner stating that there is discrepancy in the name and hence, directed the petitioner to

3/5 appear for enquiry to process the application. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner appeared before the 2nd respondent and in spite of the same, no further action was taken. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to conduct the enquiry and to take a decision on the application submitted by the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to submit all the relevant documents before the 2nd respondent. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
