This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to pay subsistence allowance, dearness allowance and House Rent Allowance and the arrears as entitled under Rule 53(1) of the Fundamental Rules of the Tamil Nadu Government by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 17.06.2023.

2. It is the case of the writ petitioner that the petitioner was placed under suspension vide Order dated 02.12.2012 on the basis of the FIR registered against the petitioner in Crime No.4 of 2012. It is the grievance of the writ petitioner that he has not received subsistence allowance and dearness allowance from March 2023. Hence, he has made a representation to the first respondent on 17.06.2023 seeking subsistence allowance and dearness allowance, which is pending without consideration till date. Hence, this writ petition.

3.Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. Considering the limited relief as sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.06.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of 2/4
