For Petitioner : Mr.S.N.Ravichandran in both petitions For R1 to R4 : Mrs.P.Kavitha Government Advocate in both petitions C O M M O N O R D E R These writ petitions have been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to approve the appointment of the petitioner in W.P. Nos.25506 and 25524 of 2019 in the post of P.G.Assistant (Zoology) and B.T.Assistant (Maths), respectively, in the 5th respondent/School, w.e.f.14.11.2018, with all consequential monetary benefits, on the basis of the proposal of the 5th respondent/School, dated 14.11.2018.

2.The case of the petitioners in these writ petitions is that, they were appointed to the post of P.G.Assistant (Zoology) and B.T.Assistant (Maths), respectively, in the 5th respondent/School, on 14.11.2018.

Pursuant to their appointment, the 5th respondent submitted a proposal dated 14.11.2018, seeking approval of their appointment in the said posts and the proposal was also recommended by the 4th respondent. However, the 3rd respondent is sitting over the proposal for no reason. As against the inaction of the 3rd respondent in this regard, these writ petitions have been filed.

3.Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. 4.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in these writ petitions and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the 3rd respondent to consider the proposal made by the 5th respondent/School Management, dated 14.11.2018, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and in any event, not beyond a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
