ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This application has been filed seeking restoration of W.P.No.38333 of 2024, which was dismissed for non-prosecution vide order dated 16.06.2025 and to decide the case on merits.
2. Upon perusal of the order dated 16.06.2025 and the earlier orders, we find that on 12.06.2025, when the matter was listed, upon change of vakalat, the counsel for the petitioners sought for removal of his name and thereupon, the Registry was directed to print the name of the petitioners in the cause-list. When the matter came up on 16.06.2025, despite the name of the petitioners being printed in the cause list, none represented the petitioners and therefore, the writ petition was dismissed for non-prosecution.
3. Having satisfied with the reasons shown in the affidavit filed in support of this application, we allow this application with costs of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only) payable to Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority within a week from today.
