Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 22.07.2016 requesting to correct the land entry of the petitioner in the A-Register and the other connected revenue records as S.No.210/18-A instead of S.No.210/18-B of Pethathalappalli Village, Krishnagiri Taluk. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner would state that he entered into an agreement of sale dated 25.01.2007 with one Valsa William Keri, Kiresayan Kumar, John Panian Keri, Rubus Pilab Keri and Mercy Kuin Keri for purchase of the land admeasuring to an extent of 2.33 acres in S.No.210/18-A situate at Pethathalappalli Village, Krishnagiri Taluk and since the said persons did not comply with the terms of the agreement, he filed a suit for specific performance in O.S.No.158 of 2007 on the file of the Court of

Principal Subordinate Judge, Krishnagiri and it was decreed as prayed for with cost on 01.10.2010. The defendants 7 and 8 aggrieved by the said judgment and decree, filed an appeal in A.S.No.08 of 2011 on the file of the Principal District Court, Krishnagiri and it was also dismissed on 27.06.2012 and it has become final, as no further challenge has been made. Thereafter, on execution, the Principal Subordinate Judge, Krishnagiri had executed the sale deed in favour of the petitioner on 08.03.2016.

The petitioner has approached the Tahsildar as well as the Revenue Divisional Officer, Krishnagiri for effect of patta and it was pointed out that in the A-Register instead of writing S.No.210/18-A, it was wrongly entered as S.No.210/18-B and in this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 22.07.2016 to the respondents and despite receipt of the same, no orders have been passed and hence, came forward to file this Writ Petition.

4. Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Doraisamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sanjaygandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2016 in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
