The petitioner as complainant filed a private complaint against the respondent in C.C.No.3557 of 2019 on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate FTC-II, Egmore @ Allikulam, Chennai. The Trial Court by judgment dated 07.02.2023 convicted the respondent and sentenced him to undergo six months simple imprisonment and to pay compensation of Rs.3,50,000/- to the petitioner. Aggrieved against the same, the respondent preferred an appeal before the learned XVIII Additional Sessions Judge, Chennai in C.A.No.357 of 2023. The Sessions Court by judgment dated 29.04.2024 set aside the order of conviction and acquitted the respondent. Against which, the petitioner filed the present petition seeking leave to file an appeal.
