Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to conduct an enquiry in pursuance to the petitioner's appeal dated 16.06.2015, seeking cancellation of joint patta issued by the 2nd respondent, without notice to the petitioner.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims he is the absolute owner of the agricultural lands admeasuring to an extent of 0.67 cents comprised in S.No.240/3 of Kiliyur (West) Village, Vanur Taluk, through a registered sale deed bearing document no.3941 of 2008, dated 26.05.2008 registered on the office of the Sub Registrar, Mailam and according to him, after the said purchase, relevant revenue records were also mutated and also obtained patta no.1093 from the office of the second respondent.

3.The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that, all of a sudden, the name of the third respondent who claims to have subsequently, purchased the same property from some un-connected persons, got added in the patta granted to the petitioner and in this regard, has submitted a representation/ complaint dated 16.06.2015, to the first respondent and though it was received and acknowledged on 18.06.2015, so far no response is forthcoming and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

4.Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Veeramani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special

Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

5.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation/ complaint dated 16.06.2015, in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the third respondent and pass orders, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the third respondent. 6.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
