ORDER
The matter is listed under the caption "for clarification" at the instance of the Court.
2. It is seen that the amount of Rs.10 lakhs, deposited by the petitioner to the credit of WP No.34023 of 2024, dated 15.11.2024, was invested by the Registry, pursuant to the order of the Hon'ble First Bench dated 10.12.2024, in OSA (CAD) Nos.74, 151 and 153 of 2024, and the interest was accrued for the deposited 2/5
amount and hence, the petitioner is entitled to the deposited amount along with accrued interest.
3. In view of the above, the order passed on 26.08.2025, is modified, permitting the petitioner to withdraw the deposited amount along with accrued interest. Hence, this Court directs the Registrar General, High Court, Madras, to return the deposited amount of Rs.10 lakhs, along with accrued interest to the petitioner, which was deposited by him to the credit of WP No.34023 of 2024, within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this petition is clarified.
