Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of Constitution of India, seeking to allow this Revision Petition by directing the Hon'ble Court of Subordinate Judge, Panruti to dispose of the first appeal numbered as A.S.No.20 of 2017 on the file of the Hon'ble Court of Subordinate Judge, Panruti.

ORDER

The plaintiffs in a suit for declaration, recovery of possession and consequential permanent injunction, having been unsuccessful before the Page No.1 of 4

trial court, have filed first appeal in A.S.No.20 of 2017. The plaintiffs now seek expeditious disposal of the said first appeal, which is pending for more than seven years.

2. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioners, notice to the respondents is dispensed with.

3. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and I have also gone through the materials placed before this Court.

4. In view of the fact that the first appeal is filed in the year 2017 and the same is pending for the past seven years, the Subordinate Judge, Panruti is directed to dispose of the Interlocutory application and Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, shall expedite the final hearing in the first appeal and dispose of the said first appeal in A.S.No.20 of 2017, finally on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) months, after affording opportunity of hearing to the parties.

5. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs.
