The wife seeks transfer of HMOP.No.99 of 2021 on the file of the Family Court, Villupuram to the Sub-Court, Poonamalle.

2. The said proceeding has been initiated by the husband seeking divorce on the ground of cruelty. From the records, it is seen that both the spouses are residents of Ambattur. Conduct of the proceedings at Family Court, Villupuram would definitely cause inconvenience to the wife as she will be required to go to Family Court, Villupuram for each and every hearing in person. By transferring the proceedings to SubCourt, Poonamallee, such inconvenience could be avoided, as the husband is also not required to appear in person before the SubCourt and he can appear through counsel for non-essential hearings.

3. Hence, this Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. HMOP.No.99 of 2021 is withdrawn from the Family Court, Villupuram and transferred to Sub-Court, Poonamalle to be disposed of in accordance with law. No costs.
