Respondents (Respondent No.10 impleaded suo-motu as per the order dt. 21.10.2013) Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus claling for the records relating to G.O. (3D) No.2 dated 13.01.2003 Industries (MMA 2) Department, Government of Tamilnadu from the file of the 2nd respondent and quash the same in so far as granting lease over the "Veerani Lake" comprised in Survey No.234 situate in Periyanagalur Village, Ariyalur Taluk and District for an extent of 2.73 Hectares/6.74 Acres and consequently direct the authorities to remove the encroachment and to restore the Veerani Lake to its original shape at the cost of the 9th respondent by taking necessary departmental disciplinary proceedings against the authorities who were involved in issuing the said G.O.
