This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. The learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.Arasan for Mr. S.Kalyanaraman and Ms.Renuka Devi for Mr.S.K.Rameshwar, learned counsel for the respondent are present.

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Both the parties are represented by their learned counsel. Respondent is represented by the learned counsel, Mr.S.K.Rameshwar.

2. The Department also produced the Proceedings No.45 dated 06.05.2013 and whereby, a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- alone is payable in respect of fatal cases. The petitioner and his wife along with his learned counsel, who are present here, also accepted to receive a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- in full quit as compensation. Hence, both parties agreed to pass an order that the respondent has to pay a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Only) by way of compensation to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today. Writ petition is ordered accordingly.

3. The Executive Engineer/O&M/Adyar has been authorised by the Superintending Engineer, CEDC/South-II to sign the award. In the result, Writ Petition is settled. No costs.
