ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the on-line impugned rejection order passed by the respondent and for a consequential direction to the respondent to issue legal heirship certificate in favour of the petitioner.

Heard Mr.A.P.Surya Prakasam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Neelakandan, Additional Advocate General Asssited by Mr.G.Velu, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondent.

The case of the petitioner is that she is the only biological daughter and the sole surviving legal heir of the deceased late Jaganathan, who passed away on 04.04.2024. The petitioner's step mother Amalaveni also predeceased him in the year 2022. The application submitted by the petitioner seeking for legal heirship certificate was rejected by the respondent through the on-line

rejection order without assigning proper reasons. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader produced the written instructions received from the respondent and the relevant portions are extracted hereunder:- மனதரர தரமத.சதர க.ப வகனஷ என வர லணடன நகரல ல மரததவரக யனற வரவதக கரம வசரண!யல பதரய வரகறத.

It is clear from the above that the only reason assigned for the rejection of legal heir ship certificate was that the petitioner did not produce the death certificate of the step mother Amalaveni. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the death certificate is readily available and that the same will be produced before the respondent.

Considering the above submission, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to make a fresh on-line application to the respondent along with all the relevant documents and also the death certificate of the step mother Amalaveni. On receipt of the same, the respondent shall process the application and grant legal heirship certificate. This process shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of on-line application from the petitioner.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
