O R D E R
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to direct the respondent to pay interest for the delayed payments made to the petitioner in respect of Gratuity, Provident fund and Earned Leave salary.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioner had retired on superannuation on 31.05.2018. However, his retirement benefit in respect of Gratuity, Provident fund and Earned Leave, has been given belatedly without any interest. In this connection, the petitioner has sent representation to the respondent on 25.06.2025 seeking interest for the belated payment of the terminal benefits such as gratuity, Provident fund and Earned Leave etc. However, there was no response for the same.
3. At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would fairly submit that they would pay interest @ 6% pa as ordered in the similar writ petition.

5. In view of the said fair submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to pay the interest @ 6% p.a. for the belated payment of the terminal benefits such as gratuity, Provident fund and Earned Leave etc. within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
