O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 24.04.2013, at an early date, within the stipulated period prescribed by this Court.

2. The petitioner has made a representation dated 24.04.2013 to the third respondent seeking for modifications of his name in the patta No.268 in S.No.62/6C by removal of the names of Josva and James Richard and by substituting the name of the petitioner herein.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the third respondent has received the application, no enquiry has been conducted and no final orders have been passed in this regard. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the third respondent, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. Heard Mr.Gopalakrishnan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

5. In view of the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition and without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2013 seeking for modification of the entries in Patta No.266 comprised in Survey No.62/6C after conducting proper enquiry by giving due notice to all the parties interested including Josva and James Richard and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
