PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the entire records relating to the detention order dated 05.06.2023 in C3/D.O./63/2024 passed by the 2nd respondent herein and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the body of the detenue, Punitha, Female, Hindu, Aged 40 years, wife of Sasikumar, who has been detained in the Special Prison for Women, Vellore before this Court and set the petitioner's wife at liberty. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Mr.E.Raj Thilak, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority vide G.O.Rt.No.6336, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department dated 11.09.2024.
Therefore, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
