PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in connection with the order of the detention passed by the second respondent dated 26.07.2024 C3/D.O.No.39/2024 against the petitioner Wife Parimala, female aged 38 years w/o. Venkatesan, who is confined at Special Prison for Women, Vellore and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and set her at liberty. Mr.E.Raj Thilak, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority vide G.O.Rt.No.6343, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department dated 11.09.2024.
Therefore, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
