This Miscellaneous Petition is filed seeking extension of time for depositing the compensation amount in LAOP.No.70/2016 before the Subordinate Court, Ponneri as ordered by this Court in CMP.No.7489/2024, dated 22.04.2024 for a further period of four weeks.

2. On 22.04.2024, this Court granted interim stay in CMP.No.7489/2024 subject to condition the petitioner deposits compensation at Rs.3,200/- per cent with interest at 4% per annum from the date of possession till date of deposit to the credit of LAOP.No.20 of 2016 on the file of the Sub Court, Ponneri within twelve weeks, failing which stay granted by this court shall stand vacated automatically.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in the order dated 22.04.2024, instead of mentioning LAOP.No.70 of 2016, it has been wrongly mentioned as LAOP.No.20 of 2016. Due to error crept in in the order, the petitioner was not able to deposit the amount and by the time, the time granted by the court to deposit the amount ended. Now action is being taken by the officer concerned to strictly comply with the order passed by this Court. Hence he request to extend time to make deposit of the compensation amount for a further period of two weeks.

5. Considering the submissions of the petitioner and on being satisfied with the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition, time to deposit the compensation amount as ordered by this court is extended for a further period of two weeks from today.

6. The petition is ordered accordingly.
