Mr.K.Tamil Vendan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to permit the petitioner to retire from service and to disburse the petitioner's retirement benefits based on his representation dated 23.04.2025. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given representation for voluntary retirement to the respondents on 23.04.2025 and such representation is pending with the respondents.
4.At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate would submit that there is no provision for voluntary retirement in the Cooperative Societies Act, however, would fairly submit that the respondents would consider the representation of the petitioner within 2/4
a reasonable time according to its own merits and in accordance with law.
5.In such view of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the above representation of the petitioner upon its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
