This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.4 of 2016 and to file final report within a specified time frame. 2.When this Criminal Original Petition was taken up, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that final report in respect of Crime No.4 of 2016 had already been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Alandur, Chennai on 30.04.2016, however, it was returned for compliance. He also made an undertaking that the final report will be re-submitted after compliance, within a period of two weeks.
3.The above statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded and the respondent police is directed to file the final report after compliance, before the court concerned within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, without fail.
