Crl.M.P.No.11719 of 2024 and Crl. A. No.994 of 2024 M. NIRMAL KUMAR.J., This petition has been filed seeking to amend the Crime number in the cause title as Crime No.36 of 2022 instead of Crime No.5 of 2020 in Crl.A.No.994 of 2024 dated 02.08.2024.

2. The petitioner / accused was granted suspension of sentence and bail vide order dated 02.08.2024 in Crl.M.P.No.10922 of 2024 in Crl.A.No.994 of 2024 by this Court with certain conditions. The petitioner on obtaining the order, executed sureties before the lower Court which was not entertained and was returned for the reason that the Crime Number found in the order copy is not proper. In the order copy, it has been recorded as Crime No.5 of 2020 which is the mistake which the petitioner had committed while filing the petition for suspension of sentence in Crl.M.P.No.10922 of 2024 in Crl.A.No.994 of 2024 earlier. The correct Crime Number is Crime No.36 of 2022. Hence, the petitioner filed the present petition for amendment.

3. The Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submits that at the time of filing the petition, the petitioner had given crime number as Crime No.5 of 2020, which is not correct and the correct Crime number is Crime No.36 of 2022. Hence, the same can be corrected by this Court.

This Court is satisfied with the reasons stated in the petition; and the bail and suspension of sentence granted by this Court vide its order dated 02.08.2024 in Crl.M.P.No.10922 of 2024 in Crl.A.No.994 of 2024 with regard to the crime number shall be read as "Crime No.36 of 2022" instead of "Crime No.5 of 2020" and accordingly, this petition is ordered. 22.08.2024 ab Crl.M.P.No.11719 of 2024 and Crl.
