Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarifed Mandamus, by calling for the records of the 2nd respondent in Ref.No.CD2/7971 / 2015 dated 08.06.2016 and quash the same and direct the 2nd respondent to grant the petitioner his due promotion.

By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Certiorarifed Mandamus, by calling for the records of the 2nd respondent in Ref.No.CD2/7971 / 2015 dated 08.06.2016 and quash the same and direct the 2nd respondent to grant the petitioner his due promotion.

3. Though several grounds have been raised in the Writ Petition, now, the learned counsel for the petitioner would only https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

seek to consider the representation dated 15.04.2016 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.22 (Personnel and Administrative Reform(s) Department) dated 24.02.2014.

4. Mr.Kanmani Annamalai, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and would submit that the request of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

5.Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.04.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner. 6.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
