The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.07.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 392, 397 and 506(ii) of IPC, in Crime No.239 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 14.07.2022, the petitioner waylaid the defacto complainant and by brandishing a knife, had snatched an amount of Rs.750/- from him. Hence the complaint.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that since, the petitioner has some previous cases against him, a false case has been foisted against him. Therefore, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner is habitual offender and he has got 5 previous cases, out of which, one case has been registered for the

5. Heard both the learned Counsel and perused the materials available on record.
6. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the submissions made by the learned counsel and also taking note of the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender and he has got 5 previous cases against him, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present.
