Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.02.2022, 18.02.2022, 25.03.2022, 30.04.2022, 05.05.2022 and 26.07.2022 with regard to the encroachments made in a Pond and burial ground bearing Survey No.40 and Survey No.35 pond completely missing Survey No.41, 38 & 22, Public way, Survey No.42, Burial Ground situated in Melathangal Village, Chetpet TK, Thiruvannamalai District. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.D.Baskaran, the petitioner-in-person and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. Representations have been given by the petitioner with regard to the encroachment in S.Nos.40, 35, 41, 38, 22 and 42.

3. Learned State Government Pleader submits that the Tahsildar has already measured the writ subject properties and Form I has been handed over to the Block Development Officer on 26.09.2023 for taking further steps.

4. In the light of that, the authority shall take further steps in accordance with law and by following the principles of natural justice, expeditiously, preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
