ORDER

The matter has been listed today under the caption " for orders". There was no representation on the side of the respondent. Even on the earlier occasion i.e., on 05.08.2025, there was no representation for the respondent. Therefore, I have proceeded to hear the learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. The wife, who is the respondent in FCOP No.165 of 2025 pending on the file of Family Court, Chengalpattu, is the petitioner herein, seeking transfer of the said proceedings to Family Court, Chennai. 1/4

3. Learned counsel further states that the petitioner submits that the petitioner/wife is a resident of Nesapakkam and finds it difficult to attend the proceedings at Chengalpattu. Learned counsel also submits that the petitioner has two minor children to take care who are aged 9 years and 5 years respectively and therefore she requests for transfer.

4. I am satisfied with the reasons assigned by the petitioner/wife, seeking transfer of the proceedings from the file of Family Court, Chengalpattu to Family Court, Chennai.

5. Accordingly, Tr.C.M.P is allowed and the proceedings in FCOP No.165 of 2025 pending on the file of Family Court, Chengalpattu is withdrawn and the same is transferred to Principal Family Court, Chennai.

6. The Family Court, Chengalpattu is directed to send the entire records relating to FCOP No.165 of 2025 to the file of Principal Family Court, Chennai forthwith.

7. The Principal Family Court, Chennai at its discretion shall take up FCOP No.165 of 2025 or assign it to any Additional Court, subject to the pendency of cases and work load of Family Courts here at Chennai. No costs.
