The present Application is filed seeking to condone the delay in 322 days filing this application to extend time for completion of arbitration proceedings.

2. Mr.B.Ramana Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent would vehemently oppose this application stating that there is no reason stated in the application for the delay and also would submit that the number of days delay is also wrongly calculated.

3. This Court after perusing the affidavit filed in support of this application and the reason for which the arbitration proceedings was not conducted is due to the death of the Arbitrator, who had been appointed earlier and also since there was change in the counsels, the proceedings could not be immediately taken up.

4. The said reason, in my view is acceptable reason and hence, the delay is condoned. The Registry is directed to number the application for extension of time for completion of arbitration proceedings and list the same on 19.08.2024.
