ORDER

This Criminal Revision Case has been preferred against the order dated 11.06.2025 passed in Crl.M.P.No.255 of 2025 by the learned Page No.1 of 4

District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Denkanikottai, thereby dismissing the petition for return of property.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner owned a vehicle bearing Regn.No.KA-08-9566 Bolero Pickup. During a routine check up, it is found that the accused persons have transported 21 litres of alcohol worth about Rs.7,605/- in the petitioner's vehicle. The contraband was recovered and the vehicle was also seized from the accused, pursuant to the registration of the FIR in Crime No.39 of 2025 for the offences punishable u/s 4(1)(C) of TN Prohibition Act. Subsequently, the confiscation proceedings in respect of the said vehicle was initiated. Therefore, the Trial Court rightly dismissed the petition seeking return of vehicle vide order dated 11.06.2025.

4. In view of the above, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the order dated 11.06.2025 passed in Crl.M.P.No.255 of 2025 by the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Denkanikottai. Page No.2 of 4

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Revision Case stands dismissed. The respondent police is directed to complete the confiscation proceedings within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
