This application is presented by the claimant in the arbitral proceedings seeking extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal. It is submitted that a petition under Section 16 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 is pending adjudication. In addition, it is stated that final arguments are to be advanced. Both parties agree that an extension of six months is required for this purpose.

2. By taking note of the current stage of the arbitral proceedings, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended by a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
