This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2016 and consequently direct the 1st respondent to transfer family pension to him.
2. The petitioner's wife, namely, N.Bella Kamala Bai was working as B.T.Assistant School Teacher at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Madurai - 20 and she expired on 10.10.1983, while she was in service. Thereafter, the family pension was sanctioned to the petitioner from 11.10.1983 to 21.10.1984, till his second marriage. Thereafter, the family pension was sanctioned to the petitioner's son, namely J.Solomon, from 22.10.1984 to 16.09.2000. Admittedly, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
petitioner's son attained majority. Hence the petitioner requested the 1st respondent to transfer the family pension to him by way of representation dated 22.01.2016, but till date no orders have been passed and therefore, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3.Mr.J.Karthikeyan, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if his representation is directed to be considered and appropriate orders are passed as expeditiously as possible. 4.Taking note of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the 1st respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.01.2016, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
