ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.09.2021 and to pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is a licensed stamp vendor and his license.No.Na.Ka.No.C4.5525/72 dated 25.02.1972 issued by the respondent. Thereafter on 08.09.1995, the respondent herein sent a letter to the Registrar of High Court Madras vide Na.Ka.No.15109 / A7 /1995 seeking permission for the petitioner to sell stamps in the High Court Compound and following the same, the petitioner has also sent representation to the President of Madras High Court Association and Registrar of Madras High Court on 02.03.1996 and in view of the same, the Registrar General of Madras High Court issued I.D. Card to the petitioner through MHAA. Once again the petitioner made representation on 20.09.2021 seeking permission to shift the petitioner's stamp vending place into the premises of High https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Court. However, till date no action was taken by the respondent. Hence this writ petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner submitted that, the petitioner is aged about 75 years old and he is living separately and he has not been paid with any maintenance by his son and the petitioner is unable to earn sufficient amount to meet his day to day needs from selling stamp papers in the present place. Hence, he submitted that, it would suffice if this court issues direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.09.2021 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

Learned counsel appearing for the Respondent has no serious objection for the prayer sought for by the petitioner and he fairly conceded that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. In view of the above submissions, this Court without going into the merits of the case, issues direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.09.2021 and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
