The writ petition has been filed for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for appointment as Technical Assistant, (Electrical) based on his representation, dated 20.6.2013, along with other Apprenticeship Trainees in the ensuing selection for the post of Technical Assistant, (Electrical) and clerical posts. 2 The petitioner would state that he obtained Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and in addition, he also obtained 'C' licence. He underwent apprenticeship training between 9.10.1996 and 8.10.1997. The petitioner further claims that as per the direction issued by this Court in W.P.No.16386 of 2009, dated 19.8.2009 petitioner is entitled for appointment as Technical Assistant in future vacancies. 3 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.R.Varalakshmi, learned counsel for the respondents. 4 Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.06.2013 for future vacancies and take a decision on merit and in accordance with law.
