The petitioners/A1 who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b) and 506(i) of I.P.C, in Crime No.546 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 14.07.2023, the de-facto complainant issued a leaflet regarding Anti Drug signature campaign at Periyar road at the time of the accused wanted the call to his mobile shop and humiliated the ruling party M.Ps and scolded him with dire consequence. Hence the case.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the counter case is pending. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) and perused the materials available on record.

Crl.O.P.No.18755 of 2023 RMT.TEEKAA RAMAN,J., nvi 6.Taking into the facts and circumstance of the case and consideration, the affidavit filed by the petitioner does not disclose contention, hence the affidavit is rejected. Considering the nature and gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
