ORDER

The prayer made in this writ petition is to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to effect mutation of the tax register and enter the name of the petitioner in the place of P.Venkatachalam and issue a fresh demand notice to the petitioner.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that for effecting mutation, the petitioner has to pay the tax due to the authority concerned. The learned counsel further https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

submitted that the proceedings relating to mutation will be completed, subject to the payment of tax by the petitioner. The said submission has not been refuted by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respondents, this Court directs the petitioner to pay the tax due to the authority concerned. On such payment, the authority concerned shall complete the process of mutation in the manner known to law.
