ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent not to harass the petitioner.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she had purchased a property measuring to an extent of 95 cents comprised in S.Nos.87 and 88 situated at Puducherry from one R.Venkatesan through a sale deed dated 05.01.2007 bearing Document No.871/2007 on the file of SRO, Puducherry. Prior to the said sale, the vendor of the property had executed a power of attorney in favour of his father Ramalingam on 08.09.2002, however, he had revoked the same by a cancellation deed dated 27.08.2005. Be that as it may, the said Ramalingam /father of the vendor of the property, had executed a fraudulent sale deed dated 14.11.2006 in favour of one Renugadevi. As against the said fraudulent transaction, the petitioner herein filed a suit in O.S.No.1598/2008 before the learned Principal District Munsif, Puducherry and the same is pending trial. She also lodged a criminal complaint to the respondent. In such circumstances, based on the counter complaint preferred by the said Renugadevi, the respondent police is harassing the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
petitioner unnecessarily under the guise of enquiry. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the present petition.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that a summons came to be issued to the petitioner for the purpose of giving evidence, however, no such harassment was caused by the respondent police, as alleged by the petitioner. He further submitted that the petitioner is required to cooperate with the police authorities with regard to the investigation to be conducted.
4. Recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the present criminal original petition is closed.
