ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records of the case registered in Crime No.4 of 2016 (on the file of Inspector of Police, W-34, All Women Police Station, Ennore, Chennai-57) and quash the same.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that on the basis of the complaint given by the second respondent / de facto complainant, a case has been registered against them by the first respondent police in Crime No.4 of 2016 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 417, 323 and 506(ii) read with 34 I.P.C. Seeking to quash the said case, the petitioners have come up with the present petition.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in Crime No.4 of 2016, after completion of investigation, charge sheet came to be filed on 16.10.2016 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvottiyur, and the same is yet to be taken on file.

4. Since charge sheet has already been filed in Crime No.4 of 2016, I am of the opinion, nothing survives in this petition for adjudication. Hence, recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the criminal original petition is closed.
