The petitioner herein seeks direction to the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry pending on its file based on the application of the petitioner forwarded to the 2nd respondent by the 1st respondent in his proceedings in OMu T3/4840/2024 dated 27.05.2024. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that property with an extent of 2 acres 49 cents in Survey No.262/2B-24, Anvarthikanpet Village originally belonged to grand father of the petitioner. The mother of the petitioner, G.Lakshmiammal succeeded to the said property and she sold it to the petitioner under a registered sale deed dated 06.07.2011. However, the patta for the above said property was erroneously issued in the name of 13 persons. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation to the 1st 2/6
respondent on 13.05.2024 seeking cancellation of the patta issued in the name of the third parties and to grant patta in his name. The said application was forwarded by the 1st respondent to 2nd respondent in his proceedings in OMu T3/4840/2024 dated 27.05.2024. In spite of the same, the 2nd respondent has not conducted any enquiry. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Mr.G.Krishnaraja, learned Additional Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents would submit that the application submitted by the petitioner dated 13.05.2024 will be considered on its own merit within the time fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner dated 13.05.2024 and pass final orders on its own merit within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the parties interested.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
