EPa.UVellore/KO/ANo 31/09-10 and dated 06.06.2009 and quash the same as illegal, incompetent and without jurisdiction and further direct the respondent to effect service connection to the petitioner premises at Survey No.197/7, T. Parangkani Village, Nallavoor Post, Vannor Taluk, Tindivanam.

This writ petition has been filed to quash the communication dated 06.06.2009 issued by the respondent and consequently, direct the respondent to effect service connection to the premises of the petitioner at S.No.197/7, T.Parangkani Village, Nallavoor Post, Vanoor Taluk, Tindivanam.
2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has sought service connection with respect to S.No.197/7, which was not considered by the respondent board, whereas, she was issued with the impugned communication dated 06.06.2009, directing the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.1,23,075/- towards the alleged theft of energy in respect of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the service connection in S.C.No.370, which was granted in favour of the husband of the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition.
3. However, when the matter was taken up for consideration, Mr.M.Varunkumar, learned counsel appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that now, there is no impedement for the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner.
4. Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent, this Court directs the respondent to give Electricity Service Connection to the petitioner's premises in question, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
