[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the victim B.Dhatchayani, aged about 38 years, wife of C.Balaraman, before this Court and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that he got married to Dhatchayani in the year 1998 and through the wedlock he has a son viz., Barath, who is now aged about 22 years. While that being so, the petitioner's wife went missing from 20.10.2021 and thereafter, her whereabouts are not known. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thiruvallur Town Police Station Crime No.965 of 2021 has been registered on 21.10.2021 for 'woman missing' and investigation is in progress.

Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur Sub-Division, to supervise the investigation in Thiruvallur Town Police Station Crime No.965 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue Dhatchayani, aged about 38 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Thiruvallur, under intimation to the petitioner.
