By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims to be a member of the Organising Committee, in connection with the Temple festival of Arulmigu Vinayagar Thirukovil , Kalathukkadu, Kamaraj Nagar Post, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District and he submitted an application dated 28.08.2016, praying for necessary permission to conduct cultural event which include, song and dance programme on 06.09.2016 in connection with Vinayagar Chathurthi festival and since the said application came to be rejected by the respondent without assigning any reason, by passing a cryptic order, came forward to file this writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.V.Ravichandran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.S.Ramesh, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.A perusal of the impugned endorsement/ order passed by the respondent on the application submitted by the petitioner would disclose that no reason whatsoever, has been stated for rejection of the said application, hence, on the sole ground, the said order/ endorsement warrants interference. 5.In the result, the writ petition is partly allowed and the matter is once again remanded to the respondent for fresh consideration and the said Official shall pass orders, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. It is also made clear that this Court did not go into the merits of the application submitted by the petitioner.
