(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition was filed to seek a direction on the respondents to issue certificate in Form 23 for the election of President of Pozhichalur Village Panchayat, Punitha Thomaiyar Malai Panchayat Union, Chengalpattu District.

2. The learned State Government Pleader submits that the certificate in Form 23 has already been given to the petitioner and in addition, a copy of the certificate has been furnished today to the learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of the above, the writ petition has become infructuous. In the light of the statement of the learned State Government Pleader and as we find that a copy of the certificate in Form 23 has been served even today to the learned counsel for the petitioner, nothing remains in the writ petition rather it has become infructuous and is accordingly dismissed.
