By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner claims to be the Secretary of the Temple Festival Committee of Pattanam Arulmigu Sree Sivasakthi Vinayagar Temple and he submitted an application dated 22.08.2016 to the respondent praying for necessary permission to conduct cultural programme which include, song and dance programme in connection with the Temple festival to be held on 05.09.2016 between 6.00 and 11.00 p.m. and the said application came to be rejected by the respondent vide endorsement dated 30.08.2016, without assigning any reasons and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.
3.Heard the submissions of Mr.A.Sathish Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.S.Ramesh, learned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.
4.A perusal of the impugned order would disclose that without assigning any reasons, the respondent has rejected the said application. Hence, on the sole ground the said impugned order warrants interference.
5.In the result, the writ petition is partly allowed and the matter is once again remanded to the respondent for fresh consideration and the said Official shall pass orders, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. It is also made clear that this Court did not go into the merits of the application submitted by the petitioner. No costs.
