Mr.E.Raja, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice on behalf of the respondent. With consent of both sides, the Crl.O.P., itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. Petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking direction to the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.2 of 2016, within a stipulated time.

3. It is averred in the Crl.O.P., that the petitioner is an employee of the Metro Water Department, Government of Tamil Nadu and he is working as a labour at Velachery Metro Water Office and the present case has been foisted against him by the respondent police before his retirement date, and he is put into https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

trouble for getting his benefits from his Department.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, accepting notice for the respondents states that they are in the final stage of filing final report and sanction from the appropriate authorities is awaited.

5. In view of the above said submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this court is of the view that it will be sufficient to grant the respondent 2 months time to file the final report. Accordingly, the respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.2 of 2016 and file final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
