ORDER

Based on the complaint given by one Senthil Kumar, the first respondent/Police registered First Information Report in Crime No.64 of 2019 dated 08.04.2019 for alleged offences under Sections 406 and 420 I.P.C. Contending that the matter is purely a civil dispute, petitioners have settled the dispute subsequently on 04.05.2019 by paying a sum of Rs.3,00,000/-to the de-facto complainant and also an agreement has been reduced into writing on the same day recording the settlement. Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to quash the First Information Report.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for first respondent/Police submits that the de-facto complainant/Senthil Kumar has given a letter stating that he has compromised the dispute with the petitioners and there need no further action on his complaint. In the said letter, the de-facto complainant also mentioned Crl.O.P.No.22602 of 2019 pending before this Court with this subject matter under consideration. The 2/5

learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) also submitted that since there is an order of stay of all further proceedings by this Court, the first respondent/Police is not in a position to record the compromise and close the complaint. Taking note of the above fact, the Criminal Original petition in Crl.O.P.No.22602 of 2019 is disposed of. Petitioners are directed to appear before the first respondent/Police and produce the compromise deed dated 04.05.2019 and record the same and close the First Information Report.
