O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Respondents to give adequate police protection by considering the Petitioner's representation dated 16.11.2021, forthwith.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner had purchased a vacant land in Plot No.290/A to an extent of 2823.25 sq.ft. situated at Survey No.131/4,G.S.No.80 of Surampatti Village, Erode Registration District, from one Erode Co-operative Housing Ltd., in the year 1994 and thereafter the Revenue Records mutated to the petitioner's name and Patta has been assigned to him and he is paying the property tax till date. It is further stated that the possession was not taken by the petitioner for the reason that it is a vacant site and recently some unknown persons in that area are using the above said plot for parking of vehicles and when the petitioner tried to clean and fence that place, the same was objected to by some unknown persons along with some political party members, by picking quarrel with them. Thereafter, the petitioner sent a representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Erode on 08.11.2021 and to the Respondents on 16.11.2021 seeking police Page No.2 of 4

protection. Since, no action has been taken the petitioner has filed this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the first and the second respondents have not received the copy of the representation said to have been given by the petitioner. He further submitted that Surampatti Village situated within jurisdiction of Erode Police Station.

4. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to furnish the copy of the complaint dated 16.11.2021 to the Erode Town Police Station along with other revenue records and documents in support of his claim, by appearing before him on 06.12.2021 and the Inspector of Police, Erode Town Police Station shall take action in accordance with law.
