O R D E R

The petitioner herein is the father of one Noorul Akram who is absconding and not available for investigation on the complaint given by one Mahendran regarding cheating. The petitioner claims that under the guise of investigating the complaint given by Mahendran, police is harassing him.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that since the where abouts of the Noorul Akram is not known, the petitioner was called to disclose the whereabouts of the Noorul Akram. The petitioner being the father of Noorul Akram, he was called to disclose the present residence of Noorul Akram. Instead of disclosing the information, exclusively within the knowledge of the petitioner, he has come before this Court alleging police is harassing him.

3. Considering the rival submissions, if the petitioner's presence is required for any investigating purpose, the police shall cause summon and call him for interrogation. If such summon is received, the petitioner shall co-operate with the investigation without any hesitation. 2/4

4. With this direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
