O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to issue the licence copy of the licence No.34/FL2 2024-2025 for the year 01.04.2024 to 31.03.2025 issued in favour of the second respondent as per the representation of the petitioner dated 22.07.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondicherry) appearing for the official respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the private respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner made representation before the first respondent on 22.07.2024. Since the first respondent has not considered the petitioner's application so far, the petitioner is constrained to file the present writ petition.

4. Considering the submission made by both the parties and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 22.07.2024 after hearing both the parties and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
