By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner challenging the order passed by the 2nd respondent.

3. According to the petitioner, he executed a Settlement Deed in favour of his daughter and presented the same for registration before the 2nd respondent. The 2nd respondent passed an order on 18.06.2024 refusing registration on the ground that some other documents are reflected in Encumbrance Certificate. Aggrieved by the said order, the petitioner filed an appeal before the 1st respondent on 26.06.2024 and the same has not been considered by the 1st respondent till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

Mr.P.Harish, learned Government Advocate, who is taking notice for the respondents would submit that the appeal filed by the petitioner is pending on the file of the 1st respondent and the same will be considered by the 1st respondent on its own merits and in accordance with law, within the time fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 26.06.2024 on its own merit and in accordance with law, after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner and other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
