PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the entire records, connected with the detention order of the respondent No. 2 in C.O.C.No. 16 of 2024 dated 12.07.2024 and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenue by name Madhavan, son of Baskar, aged about 36 years, now detained as Bootlegger at Tiruchirappalli Central Prison before this Court and set at liberty.

Mr.E.Raj Thilak, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority vide G.O.Rt.No.6084, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XV) Department dated 02.09.2024.
Therefore, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
