ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to conduct investigation on the representation of the petitioner dated 11.5.2016 in Crime No.301 of 2016 and to file final report in Crime No.301 of 2016 pending on the file of the respondent.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he brought up his sister's son Suresh. While so, on 4.5.2016, he got a cell phone message that the said Suresh drowned in a swimming pool. Later, the said Suresh died in the hospital and the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.301 of 2016 under Section 174 Cr.P.C. After that, there is no progress in the investigation. Since the death was under suspicious circumstances, the petitioner made a representation dated 11.5.2016 to the respondent for proper enquiry. is also kept pending without any progress, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition seeking proper investigation in Crime No.301 of 2016, by considering his representation dated 11.5.2016.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation in Crime No.301 of 2016 would be conducted by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 11.5.2016.

4. In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the present criminal original petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent to conduct thorough investigation in Crime No.301 of 2016 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 11.5.2016 as expeditiously as possible and proceed further in accordance with law.
