ORDER

The petitioner, found in possession of 3.600 kgs of ganja and 4.5 grams of Metamafetamine, is before this Court to quash the case registered against him.

2. The records reveals that FIR in Cr.No. 260 of 2024 has been registered by the respondent on 28.07.2024 pursuant to the seizure of 3.600 kgs of ganja and 4.5 grams of Metamafetamine, based on the specific information given by the informant. Alleging that there is violation of mandatory provisions contemplated under NDPS Act, the present Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Cr.No.260 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police.

3. Mr.S.Udayakumar, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that the provisions under Section 42(1), 50 and 57 is duly complied in this case and there is no violation.

4. Considering the fact that the investigation is in nascent stage and whether the compliance of the provisions of the NDPS Act made out or not cannot be decided at this stage, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
